Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC) is pleased to host a Twitter Chat exploring the facts about chronic pain with co-host nationally recognized pain expert Dr. Mel Pohl. From 10-11 a.m. on July 22nd, post your questions on Twitter at #AskLVRC. According to a landmark Institute of Medicine report, at least 100,000 million Americans have chronic pain. Many people feel very isolated in their pain experience. The stress of pain goes beyond the physical; being unable to meet commitments or promises, or difficultly scheduling events on the calendar around the pain’s unpredictability. Everyone in the family is affected. Many people struggle silently, or attempt to manage their pain in ways that, explains Dr. Pohl, “Make it difficult to maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance.” For many people, chronic pain and dependence on opioids feels inevitable – or the only choice for getting though each day. For answers to your chronic pain, join our #AskLVRC Twitter Chat on July 22nd, 2015, from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., co-hosted by Dr. Mel Pohl.
