John Seeland Chief Executive Officer Las Vegas Recovery Center FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LAS VEGAS—Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC) is pleased to announce that Kasey Dean, DNP, PMHNP, has accepted the additional position of director of nursing. Dr. Dean will be overseeing LVRC’s nursing department beginning January 2017. “We are excited to have Dr. Dean take this leadership role,” commented George Gatski, LVRC’s chief operating officer. “In the short nine months Dr. Dean has worked at LVRC, he’s shown tremendous enthusiasm for the department and passion for helping our clients succeed. He’s a dedicated leader and a compassionate person. I am confident he will do well in his expanded role.” Kasey Dean, DNP, PMHNP, began his career at LVRC in April of 2016, when he relocated from Florida to accept a position as psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner at LVRC. Dr. Dean’s background in integrated treatment made him the ideal candidate for the position since LVRC had recently expanded its addiction treatment program to include a focus on co-occurring mental health disorders. Dr. Dean stated he accepted the position because he was impressed by LVRC’s “progressive approach” to pain and substance use disorder treatment. “The idea that there is a separation between medical, mental health, pain, and substance use problems is false,” he explained. “I am excited to work for an organization that treats the client with a holistic approach.”
