Nutritional information can often be confusing, making it difficult to know what is the right balance of nutrients to consume in order to feel healthy and energetic and prevent lifestyle diseases. It is well documented that appropriate nutrition can help manage weight, increase energy, prevent vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and maintain a substance dependence-free lifestyle. At Las Vegas Recovery Center, we provide clients with information, offer guidance so that they can make food choices to complement their newfound recovery, and tailor nutritional plans to meet their individual needs. The consultation includes a review of the client's medical history and nutritional history, and development of a menu system specific to each client.

Lesley J. Johnson, RD
Lesley has served as Clinical Director and Dietician at various hospitals in the southern Nevada region for over twenty-five years. She also works as a consultant with several organizations and has implemented an assortment of innovative dietary programs such as an osteoporosis prevention program and the first RD-managed weight management class in Las Vegas at Desert Springs Hospital. Lesley has been published in medical and health journals, as well as being featured as a guest lecturer at a number of industry conferences. She will work with clients on an individual basis to develop a nutritional program specific to the client's needs and goals. Her belief that mega-supplements are not necessary since we get most of the vitamins needed from food is a perfect complement to LVRC's holistic approach to treatment and recovery.
