Alumni Program

As an alumnus, clients are considered part of our family. Transitioning from treatment to the community can be difficult and our staff is here to offer support during this period. LVRC invites clients to attend weekly group meetings and continue in relapse prevention education at no additional charge. We are always just a phone call away—twenty-four hours a day.

The Alumni Group at Las Vegas Recovery Center is a weekly group that meets for two years after the completion of treatment as part of the continuum of care. The structure of the Alumni Group invites attending former clients to benefit from:

  • Continued relapse prevention education
  • Twenty-four-hour access to staff
  • Multi-disciplinary team approach
  • Family involvement

Alumni are as important as treatment itself. In many ways, alumni can be compared to commencement from school—it isn't the end, but a new beginning. Treatment is just the beginning of dealing with addiction, and the clients that have commenced from Las Vegas Recovery Center, and who are currently maintaining a drug-free life, recognize the importance of this truth.

Clients at Las Vegas Recovery Center learn they have not lost their freedom to use, but rather they have gained their freedom from using. This understanding does not come easily to most—it takes time and commitment before a wholly positive lifestyle becomes a fully accepted, permanent part of a client's life. We offer clients Alumni Group so that they will have the emotional stability and strong underpinnings needed to face life positively.
