clients have jobs, education, and families who love and support them but
are in jeopardy of losing all the good things because of their addictive
behavior.
Understanding the disease of addiction, its many manifestations,
and its effects on the mind, body, and spirit, is essential to finding
recovery and learning how to live a drug-free life. The circumstances
that bring most clients to a Central Recovery Treatment center usually
stem from a series of behaviors and thought processes that are all part
of this disease: obsession, compulsion, self-centeredness, and denial.
