The Meaning of Joint Commission Accreditation - The Joint Commission Certificate

The Joint Commission has over 50 years of recognized and respected experience and expertise in evaluating clinical care quality in all types of health care settings. Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission seeks to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations. JCAHOAn independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.

By demonstrating excellence in health care quality in its programming to serve addicted people, Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC) has been awarded the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission.

Reviewers from The Joint Commission evaluated LVRC's addiction treatment programming under the Behavioral Healthcare component to assess its compliance with The Joint Commission's stringent national standards and performance measurement expectations for the management of behavioral healthcare. The Joint Commission currently accredits more than 1,600 behavioral health care providers nationwide. All surveys are conducted by highly experienced behavioral health care professionals including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, behavioral health care nurses, and mental health administrators.

LVRC voluntarily pursued this comprehensive, independent evaluation to validate the quality of care we provide to our clients. We are proud to achieve this distinction. We view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as a validation of our commitment to excellence. The award of accreditation is for a three year period.

In becoming accredited, Las Vegas Recovery Center was evaluated against a set of national standards by a Joint Commission surveyor experienced in the delivery of behavioral health care services. Achieving accreditation demonstrates Las Vegas Recovery Center's commitment to providing safe, high-quality care.

Obtaining the Gold Seal will assure our clients and their families of the quality of our services. We are committed to continually improving our service delivery and to being the provider of choice in Las Vegas. Accreditation by Joint Commission is the gold standard, recognized by managed care companies and health professionals; we are the only free-standing, private drug and alcohol treatment facility in the entire state of Nevada that has earned the Gold Seal.
