Family comes first
Our family services are based on our belief that addiction is a family disease. Family participation, education, and recovery are vital to the successful outcome of long-term sustained recovery and change for the addict. Your participation is also vital to understand the disease of addiction, how it has affected you, and what your long-term solution to addiction is. Our program is designed to guide you on how to be okay emotionally, spiritually, and mentally whether the addict in your life stays clean or not. We will support, educate, and assist you in identifying leverage (the natural consequences the addict will incur if they do not get treatment and stay in recovery) and healthy boundaries. Most families report feeling powerless over their addicted loved one when in fact, with a little support, they find they can take charge of the situation and find the solution to their problem. One way or the other, by the time the addict in your life completes treatment, you will have learned as many tools as he or she has and if you use these tools, you will find the peace and serenity you have been desperately seeking. We provide the following to assist you in achieving this.
Family Renewal Weekend
Our specially-designed Family Renewal Program helps family members start on their own journey of discovery and recovery. The intensive four-day workshop begins with a welcome session that highlights the topics to be covered. Each day educational lectures are presented by our team of addiction experts and are followed by process groups that allow family members to discuss their personal concerns, as well as ask questions about the subjects presented. These educational lectures are interactive and family participation is strongly encouraged. Here you will find everything you need to know about codependency and addiction.
Family Support Group
The support group is free and open to anyone who is affected by someone’s addiction. The group provides identification, support, and solutions. It is facilitated by our Clinical Director and currently meets every Friday at 7:00 pm at LVRC. This is a “must go to” group for anyone who has an addicted loved one in treatment.
