For injured individual to be successful in our pain treatment program, they must show reasonable rehabilitation potential and a personal willingness to commit to our pain program, and to work with our doctors and staff toward individualized rehabilitation goals, including:

• Reclaiming lost function.
• Willingness to work toward mastery and acceptance of chronic pain and limitations.
• Motivation for return-to-work and/or independent activities outside the home.
• Willingness to learn new strategies for coping with chronic pain and stress.
• Willingness to shift focus away from reliance on ineffective medical pain management and pain medication.
